HYPNOBIRTHING & ANTENATAL CLASSES IN NOTTINGHAM

GROUP HYPNOBIRTHING COURSE

hypnobirthing classes nottingham

A doula-led 4 week full comprehensive birth preparation course in Nottingham.

I have worked with many families across Nottingham helping them to prepare for birth feeling informed, confident and prepared.

During the course you will learn evidence based information and lots of practical skills to use during pregnancy, birth and in the fourth trimester. The course covers both antenatal birth topics and hypnobirthing to support every kind of birth.

Classes are taught over 4 weeks; a total of 8 hours split into 4 X 2 hour sessions. Group classes are kept small (maximum of 4 couples per course); this ensures that you can ask as many questions during sessions as you would like to in a comfortable and supported space.

I also include lots of support after the course finishes whether you have a question or need any additional resources, I am here to help!

All classes include refreshments, hot/cold drinks & lots of cake!

My classes are held at the beautiful The Natural Wellness Centre, Derby Rd, Nottingham NG1 5FB in the heart of Nottingham City Centre which is easily accessible by bus, tram, car and walking if you live locally.

The course fee is £265 per couple (one birthing person plus their birth partner). You can can choose to pay in full or a non refundable deposit of £65 to secure your space with the remaining course fee due 2 weeks before the course start date.

Hypnobirthing courses can be combined with my doula support services. I offer a discount off my birth and postnatal packages when booked alongside a group (subject to availability) or private Hypnobirthing course. You can find out more about my birth support services here.

If a group class isn’t for you and you would prefer a private course in your home or online I also offer private bespoke classes from full course (everything we cover in a group course) as well as refresher classes for subsequent parents and shorter courses/power hours.

  • “We’re so glad we did the Hypnobirthing classes with Kerry. We were having our first child and it was such a helpful, insightful course to help prepare us with what was to come. Kerry creates a WhatsApp group for your class so we felt like we could ask questions at any point throughout pregnancy and beyond - our little one is 3 months now and she still checks in and is there if we ever need any advice. We can’t thank you enough for the support and guidance.Would highly recommend!”

  • "Loved the hypnobirthing course with Kerry! She was so informative and unbiased giving a very thorough and balanced run through of all options. We didn’t end up with the birth that we planned for but thanks to this course we were able to make informed decisions to ensure the safe arrival of our little girl. Thanks for everything Kerry ❤️"

  • "Kerry created a lovely environment to introduce hypnobirthing to our group. The sessions were informative but relaxed and I used a lot of the techniques during birth. Would highly recommend!"

  • "I'm do glad we did the hynobirthing course with Kerry. This was our first child and I was feeling very anxious about the birth side of things. Kerry provided an unbiased evidence based approach to all options for birth so we could make an informed decision on what we wanted. Though my birth plan had to change due to my baby being breech, I had the tools to deal with this and Kerry offered so much support even after the course was done. I have and will continue to recommend this course to all my friends. Thank you so much Kerry."

  • "Where do I start. Kerry was simply amazing, she gave me all the tools to help me feel confident in labour and I’m happy to say that I had the water birth I had hoped for. Really recommend booking on to this course if you are anxious about labour. Kerry is amazing!"

  • "I really can’t recommend Kerry and the Barefaced Birth hypnobirthing course enough. In short, I'm so glad I did it, even though I was 35 weeks on already and was worried I'd left it too late. I'd recommend for any stage of pregnancy, but I really felt it helped me get into a much more positive, relaxed and less apprehensive mindset. I had already done some of the free antenatal classes offered by the hospital, so wasn’t sure whether this was worth doing as well, but I can honestly say the hypnobirthing sessions were so much more useful in the end and I'm so glad I signed up. My partner loved it too and it really enabled him to feel more involved, and know how best to support me in labour"

  • "We really valued Kerry’s evidence based and unbiased approach. She has an online portal of so many helpful and wide ranging resources and the course discusses topics related to birth, from physiology of labour to pain relief, relaxation and breathing techniques and so much more. Kerry was also so generous with her time and support outside of the classes too. I particularly found the visual and practical exercises/demonstrations when learning about birth super valuable, and also great for partners for them to understand more about what's happening. We practised breathing exercises at the end of each session, which was really helpful, and some relaxing audio tracks were also provided to listen to outside of the classes"

  • "I was so fortunate to have had a much more relaxed and even better birth than expected in the end, (mostly at home with TENS machine). Hard to say whether it was a bit of luck and conditions were just right, but I genuinely think the course helped in calming any nerves, making me feel prepared and just more able to manage, whatever the birth journey were to be!"

  • "If you want to really understand hypnobirthing, and how it can help you have the most positive birth experience, I would highly recommend Kerry! Having used a digital hypnobirthing pack during lock down , I had a positive induction with our first child, but asked Kerry to design a 121 refresher for us to get both myself and my partner back into a positive headspace to prepare for our 2nd child's arrival. The content was spot on with a reminder of key info we already knew, but also new topics and lots of evidence based research which was made available to us, bespoke to some of the scenarios we were more anxious about or wanted to find out more. Kerry's style is really relaxed and informal with thoughtful things she provides during the session including cakes and a bag of gifts and more useful info. You also get access to an online resource centre, relaxation tracks, positive birth stories and more. She has provided so much support already, always on hand to answer questions and help, and continues to be available postnatally as part of the service she offers. Thanks Kerry!"

  • "Wasn’t sure what to expect when we booked our Hypnobirthing course. We went in feeling a little anxious about birth and finished the course feeling much more confident and informed! Kerry’s content was both engaging and interesting and she is so personable, she offered support after we finished the course which we were so grateful for! Met some lovely people during this course and Kerry was fantastic, we would recommend Barefaced Birth!"

  • "I did an Essential Oils for Pregnancy & Birth Workshop with Kerry at Barefaced Birth and couldn't recommend it highly enough! It was so interesting learning all about the essential oils I can add to my birth toolkit and the ways of using them that I'd never have thought of in a million years! It has been such a fun part of my birth preparation and made me feel *super* excited about my labour and birth. Kerry has been amazing! She provided so many amazing resources and links and has been on hand to answer all my questions. If you thinking about booking onto a course with Kerry, I would definitely recommend it, she is amazing!"

  • "We cannot thank Kerry enough for the Hypnobirthing sessions, Aromatherapy sessions and ongoing support and guidance throughout our pregnancy. We loved going to the hypnobirthing sessions and always looked forward to the sessions. The sessions were informative, they provided an open space for discussion and we feel they equipped us with a phantom of knowledge we otherwise wouldn’t have had. Kerry goes above and beyond, sharing high quality resources, keeping in touch inbetween and after sessions and is such a friendly and welcoming teacher. There’s a genuine care from Kerry for all the people she provides sessions for - highly recommend booking onto the course!"

  • "Having experienced pre and postnatal depression with my first pregnancy I was desperate for a calm, relaxed and positive journey when it came to my second birth. Kerry put me at ease from the first moment I made contact with her and her sessions were relaxed, informative, genuine and allowed me to connect with my pregnancy and the birth in a safe space. There were more challenges for me this time around as I was planning for a VBAC and Kerry helped me navigate any risks with informed study based insight empowering me to challenge my consultant and speak up for myself. Kerry exceeded our expectations multiple times, offering us 1:1 video calls while we were abroad and weren't able to make the first two sessions, looking into studies and up to date VBAC guidelines, being a sounding board pre- and post appointments and helping me feel in control when my consultant was pushing me down a route I was uncomfortable with. Kerry consistently went above and beyond and continues to support me in my postpartum journey after yet another c-section. We are so thankful to have found someone so supportive and genuine and would absolutely recommend her"

  • "Kerry’s help and support has been outstanding from the day I booked on to the Hypnobirthing course right through to my postpartum journey and it continues! My birth didn’t go as planned but with Kerry’s help I was able to remain calm and still felt in control. I used our breathing techniques, aromatherapy, TENS machine and the different tools and techniques she taught me while labouring and I loved every second of it. We can’t thank you enough! highly recommend xxx"

  • "If you have any worries about labour see Kerry!! I was so nervous about labour before I met Kerry and did this course, I even cried at my first session which is not like me at all! By our last session I was actually looking forward to the experience and had written a birth plan (something I’d been avoiding). I feel so much more informed and like I have someone to go to with questions even after our sessions have finished. She goes above and beyond for her clients to find information and answer any questions you have. Kerry is honestly one of the most genuine, caring and lovely people I’ve ever met and I can’t recommend her enough!"

  • "We have completed the 1:1 hypnobirthing course with Kerry. The course was very informative and provided us with the tools and tips to go through pregnancy and birth in a calm and informed way. Kerry has been very supportive, empathetic, attentive and caring, and always went above and beyond what we would expect. She has been very warm and flexible and always had an open ear and checked in on us. We are very thankful for her support, her time and the great level of care she has taken to support us in our journey, and would highly recommend her to others"

  • "Feeling empowered and educated on what birth might look like (in all its forms) was a must for me when I was expecting. Kerry is super knowledgeable and open to all types of birth plans and choices with her course. Me and my husband left every session feeling like we had more positive tools to support us when the time came. We used a number of the techniques Kerry taught us when in labour and even when the birth resulted in a c-section I felt calm and ready to bring my daughter into the world. Kerry has also been amazing post birth, keeping in contact and discussing post birth mindfulness and support. I honestly can’t recommend her and her course enough!"

  • "Couldn't recommend Kerry more. Although our birth experience wasn't our 'plan A' , we felt super informed and believe we couldn't have stayed as calm and positive as we did without kerry and hypnobirthing! She's super friendly and wants you to feel supported and empowered throughout which she definitely did ♥️"
